"I was looking like crazy, after 6 weeks, to finally sit back in the car, yeah! On Friday in the first practice, I had to get used to it again, in the second practice I was fastest! ྶBut then, suddenly, I had problems to downshift with the gearbox and could go to no more training. Very strange, because it worked well with team mate Sandro. In the evening we disassembled the gear and examined again all the parameters of the data recording ... and lo and behold, next morning the problem was fixed. Only, we had no set up prepared and need to do this now in the races.

“On Saturday in qualifying, the lack of training became noticeable… only P4. Somewhat disappointed, he was happy nonetheless for the forthcoming race. Already at the start there was a crowd, since in front of the Formula lista still the Formula Renault launched, so the first of the Formula lista cars approached the last Renault‘s. It was still far all good, then many battles during the race where he learned a lot. "Unfortunately, I got on the end a time penalty for driving over the white line limit and got back two places," he said after arriving on P4. Well, tomorrow is another day, and this began with the second qualifying for the second race, Levin came back on P5: "The car was on the rear too nervous, I could not keep the pace of the others in the curves." No sooner said than done, the set-up has been adapted for the race.

Then race 2: “My start was ok, the car was great and now I could attack and was already at P3. In the fight with a competitor, I made a mistake and touched him with my front wheel and so bent my steering. With this, I could no longer drive as fast as before”, he said later then. And there was another situation where the audience held its breath: At the end of the start finish straight, he withstood an opponent at the in side; this one closed the door with a flourish…and found himself again in the gravel. Levin could finish the race then to P3, with some luck since his car was damaged.

In the overall standings he is on P2 and on P1 at the rookies. “This weekend was very instructive: First resolve the problems with the shifting, then the set-up work and also from driving and fighting in the races. Thanks to my team and Jo Zeller, and of course to LO lista office for supporting this great serie!

23.05.2011 - Seconde Race Formel Lista Junior.....second podium !

After 5 weeks off, the second race started! Levin could not wait to sit after a long break back in the car. We did not participate in the official test days on the new circuit, so he set out on Friday for the first time on this great track. He’s a quick learner and after 2 training, he led the timesheets!

On Saturday morning was the first qualification for the race, Levin full of expectations fell to the runway and went back after a few rounds with a 1:40:03, thus over 0.6 seconds faster than anyone else. Save the tires, he drove back into the pits and also thought that must now be the Pole. No, the track was getting faster, and Levin slipped back to P3.

During the afternoon the first race, the man in front of him and many others made a false start and Levin himself also rolled a little early. Then the race was pretty chaotic, always had some opponents complete a drive-trough penalty. Levin crossed the finish line in second place, yeah! But he was displayed for a drive-trough penalty just before the end of the race for his rolling start, too close to the finish and so he received 15 penalty seconds. Thus, only rank 4, but learned a lot from the Start and how to do it -or not ;)

On Sunday morning in the second qualifying, he was again third. He lead the time table until a red phase five minutes before the end of the session, but again two opponents were faster in the final round. Crap! Then the race start: “My start was not so good and I lost a place, but I toke it back the next corner and then joined the two leading cars”, he stated after the race. The three could drive away from the pack.“On the rear long straight, I wanted to grab the first of the two but had to find a way beside Rodriguesdriving in the middle of the track; I decided left, he closed the door and so I had to go right but probably I misjudged a little and slashed my front wing”. From then on, his lap times were slower by one second, due to the lack of downforce. As the drivers behind him were involved in fights, he could still save his third place in the finish.Too bad this race is

over already! Thanksto the team of Jo Zeller Racing, to Fredy Lienhard also the Main Sponsor of the LO Formula Listajunior visiting this race and the all the people from Red Bull A1 Ring. The next time, Levin will sit again on 10 July at the Hockenheimringin the car. In the overall standings, he is now on second place and leads the Rookie standings.
